WINNER OF THE SUMMER SCIENCE FAIR CONTEST
Chinmayi once again won the summer science fair contest with her poem. She also has been in over 50 Indian newspapers because of her science fair project this past year. What a talented 6 year old! That a way to go Chinmayi! Congratulations. See her poem here...science fair projects contest winner.
Because Chinmayi lives in India she received a $25 cash prize.

Watch for the announcement September 15. More prizes, more surprise!
HOW TO BOOST YOUR MEMORY
Researchers have recently found out, after experimentation, that if you do consistant, rigorous memory tasks you will increases your scores in fluid intelligence or general problem solving ability.
There are two categories, according to psychologists, of "general intelligence": crystallized intelligences refers to skills that are useful for specific tasks while fluid skills applies to all problems.
The participants of the study were first given a standard test for fluid intelligence. Then they were given a series of training exercises that were designed to imporve working memory. Each of 4-groups were given these excercises for 8, 12, 17, or 19 days.. depending upon the group.
Results: The trained subjects showed significant improvement in fluid intelligence while the untrained subjects imporved slightly. The more time spent in training, the more the subjects increased their fluid intelligence. "The scientists suggest the exercises strengthened “executive processes” in the brain that function in problem-solving."
Are you asking yourself, What was the training?. The training consisted of the subjects watching a series of computer screen displays while letters were read to them aloud. "Viewers were asked to continually decide whether the current pair of stimuli being presented, matched the pair presented a certain number of times previously.
So the question that I continuously ask you, "What science fair project comes to mind that you can do?"

Did you know that the first place that a change in your body's chemistry shows up is in a hair analysis test? Do how about doing science fair projects with hair?
