II. How to Use the Super Science Fair Projects Web site

Every year in the schools of the United States of America, Canada, and other countries, science fairs are organized during which experiments done by students are showcased. Students have to find an idea for an experiment and then perform it by themselves. At these fairs, the best works are awarded.

These events are particularly productive for students because scientific activities require mental discipline, clear ideas, organization in the collection of data and in their handling. They favor the learning of objective and concise writing methods. Also, they incite the student’s curiosity in the field investigated, a curiosity that often remains throughout the student’s lifetime. Success in these activities spurs children on to continue in this path. These experiments even reveal themselves to be useful in one’s subsequent professional life.

Many readers of Super Science Fair Projects write to us asking for ideas for science fair projects. The purpose of the site is to help you to discover what project you would like to do and the steps to design an outstanding science fair project. Throughout the web site are ideas, projects, experiments and resources.

The web site is organized so that the home page gives an summary of what is to be expected when asked to do a science fair project. Read each page and click on the bottom link of that page. That link will take you to the next step.

The menu on the left also gives you resources. The site map also lists every single step to do a science fair project, articles, and resources - all 100+ pages on the site.

For those of you who would rather follow the steps in a book, I have put the web site in an eBook, Super Science Fair Projects ebook and it includes even more detailed information than what's on the web site.

III. From NASA
When you hear the word "ultrasound" you probably think of pregnant moms and their babies. Add one more to that list: astronauts.

Saturn's Moon Titan a Frozen World.
Data from the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft suggest that Titan, a moon of Saturn, is a world with the potential of life that was frozen in its youth, prevented by deep cold from ever developing into a livelier place.

Get involved and show your stuff! NSTA administers a number of>competitions for students in grades K through 12. You may win a prize, and you'll certainly have fun.
