The first element of 1st place science experiments are great science project ideas. Without a great science project idea to start with your project is going to fall flat. Fortunately there are a lot of great topics that you can develop to create a winning idea for your project. One source of ideas is the newspaper. Look for science news headlines and use them as inspiration. After you have a great topic to work with, you next need to develop a hypothesis. Your hypothesis is the question that you want to answer. You will design your absolutley awesome projects to solve the question posed by your hypothesis, or to prove or disprove your hypothesis statement. 1st prize science fair projects for kids will need experiments that are focused on the hypothesis and that produce results that can be directly applied to solving the project's hypothesis. As you gather data for your biology science fair projects you will need to start plugging the data into a report. This report will chronicle the progression of your project starting with the background research that you conduct prior to starting the project all the way through the conclusions that you draw from your data. A winning project will have a well formatted report that includes all of the steps in the scientific process as well as well designed graphics that illustrate the data that was collected. Award winning science projects displays is another element that you will need to spend time on. A bad display board can ruin your chances of winning a science fair. Even good science projects can hurt the overall impact of your project. If you want to win a science fair, you need a great display. A great display will be visually appealing, it will flow from the first step to the final step of your project naturally and it will provide judges with all the information needed to understand what you did, why you did it and what you learned. The final element of 1st place science experiments is your presentation. Your presentation needs to be rehearsed, it needs to summarize each step of the scientific experiment and it needs to fit within the time allotted for the presentation. You also need to be prepared to answer questions about your project, including questions about its design, its practicality and its usefulness.
