Make stunning visual displays for your medicine health science experiments...
The first impression a science fair judge makes about your science fair projects genetics hair and eye color experiments will be made based on the quality of your visual display. The visual display for your biology experiments has the power to push you into the finals or keep you out of the running all together. To enhance your chances of winning a science fair you need to invest time and energy on your visual display tools. Photographs make a very strong impression on science fair judges. Almost every science fair projects genetics hair and eye color experiment can be documented using photographs. For example, you can take pictures of eyes of different color or you can take pictures of hair of different colors. Photographs can also be used to document genetic lineages. For example, you can take a photograph of a family which shows the hair and eye color of the parents and their offspring. Another visual element that you can use for the visual displays for your science fair projects genetics hair and eye color experiments are drawings. If you have natural artistic abilities, then you have a distinct advantage over your competition as you can create simple or complex drawings to illustrate important elements of your experiment. On the other hand, if you are not artistically gifted then you will need to create drawings that are simple and well labeled. Try to focus on basic shapes so that you can use drawing tools like rulers, T-squares and French curves to complete your illustrations. If you are up for a challenge and if you really want to impress the judges then consider building 3-D models for your experiment. Your 3-D models can be of an eye ball, DNA or of hair. While these models can be purchased, you will generally be given more praise and a better score if you design and build the model yourself. The fourth visual element for your easy and fast science fair projects on eye and hair color genetics will be your text elements. This is one of the most important visual elements of your display board. The text needs to be written in a uniform font, that is large enough to be read from a distance of at least six feet, it needs to be straight and it needs to be legible. Stencils can be used to help you write text directly onto your poster board, or you can use a word processor to create a text panel. Then all you have to do is print it out, mount it on a colored mat and then attach the mat to your poster board. The final component of your visual display is its overall layout. When designing your layout you need to make sure it flows smoothly and logically. Keep in mind that Western judges naturally scan a display board from left to right. This means you will want to order your graphics and text panels sequentially from left to right. If you are using a circular pattern then number your visual elements to help guide the viewer through the layout of your visual elements in the order you intended them to be viewed. To supplement your visual display board, you can also hand out a one page flyer that gives an overview of your project. This is a good option, especially at the state and national level. Follow the above instructions and you will have outstanding biology science fair projects display board for your science fair.
