Objectives/Goals

I investigated the effect of zero gravity on plant growth. I chose this topic because plant physiology is a topic that I wasn#t well versed in and wanted to learn more about.

Methods/Materials

In order to observe the effects of zero gravity on plant growth I had to simulate zero gravity. I did this by turning the plants on a clinostat, which is a slow rotating motor.

Results

The plants grew slower and developed a spiral growth pattern.

Conclusions/Discussion

These effects may be caused by the plant following rotation of the clinostat, or possibly the spiral growth is the true effect of zero gravity on plant growth. 3rd party contributor
