Science projects for high school students need to be well designed and they need to demonstrate a much higher understanding of scientific concepts than middle school science fair projects. AP science students particularly need to look for advanced science experiments to base their projects on, especially if they are interested in securing scholarship money. Fortunately, there are a lot of topics that can be used for chemistry super science fair projects. Some of these topics include: analytical chemistry, bonding, graphing projects, nuclear chemistry and thermochemistry. While many students think that science has to be boring, this is not the case. There are a lot of fun science experiments for high schoolers. For example, analytical chemistry concepts can be used to design interesting projects that look at how chemistry is used to solve crimes. Forensic techniques, for example, use chemistry to separate mixtures to determine if a poison or toxin was the cause of a person's death. Amazing science fair projects can also be based on chemical bonding. Bonding projects can look at chemical polarity using solvents. They can also apply VSEPR concepts to develop an interesting project. If you are interested in computers and in chemistry, then you can develop advanced high school science fair projects based around graphic representations of chemical properties, such as atomic mass, or that demonstrate chemical reactions. Advanced graphing demonstrations can help you to score big with judges, however, this type of project will require that you have access to a graphing program, a computer and that you have a great understanding of computer technology and graphing skills. Nuclear chemistry is another topic that you can use to create winning science projects for high school students. Nuclear chemistry projects can look at fission and fussion in relations to chemical reactions. This project genre can be the perfect opportunity to think outside of the box and to work with abstract science concepts. It is also a great topic to work with if you want to stand out from the other projects that are on display. The final topic genre that you can work with when developing advanced science experiments for high schoolers is thermochemistry. Thermochemistry looks at how mass and energy relate to chemical reactions. The laws of thermodynamics will be the foundation of your thermochemistry projects, so it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with this law before you design your hypothesis and experiment. This is a very interesting field to work in and it can produce very exciting chemistry science fair projects. Copyright © 2003 - 2010 Super Science Fair Projects - All Rights Reserved.
