Chemistry science fair experiments can be used to understand the objects and compounds that we come into contact with on a daily basis. If you are interested in learning more about the world around you then consider trying out pH testing science fair projects. These projects are inexpensive and easy to conduct, however, they can also be taken to the next level with a little creative thinking.

The first pH testing science fair projects that you can complete look at the pH level of hair samples. There are several hair pH chemistry science fair projects that you can complete including: comparing pH levels of dry, normal and oily hair; comparing pH levels of hair samples taken from people of different ages; and comparing pH levels of hair samples taken from people of different races.

The second pH testing science fair projects that you can complete look at the pH levels of different types of drinks. A very popular pH science experiment that you can conduct is to look at the pH levels of different types of soda pop. You can also create a science project that compares the pH levels of drinks served in your cafeteria like milk, fruit juices, chocolate milk and pop.

Another type of pH science project that you can try is to explore food pH levels. First of all you can simply compare the pH levels of various types of foods. If you are interested in advanced science fair projects, then you can use the pH levels found in the first experiment to determine how to pair foods so that you don't develop indigestion. To do this you will need to find food combinations that have a combined ph level that is close to 5, which is neutral.

If you use a lot of beauty products, then you can develop chemistry science fair projects that look at the pH levels of various beauty products. For example you can look at why some products have an acidic pH level while others are basic or neutral. You can then use this data to develop your own beauty products or to negate claims made by the manufacturer about what the product does.

The final pH testing science fair projects that you can try out look at the pH level of soaps and shampoos. Your first option is to compare pH levels of various soaps or of various shampoos to predict which ones will be harsh on your skin or hair and which ones will be gentler. You can save money buying supplies for this experiment by buying sample sized soaps and shampoos.
