Computer programming science fair projects are a simple way to turn your love of computers into an award winning science fair project. There are a lot of interesting computer science project topics that you can work with this year. Some of your choices include: math programs, web animation, simple JAVA script programs and simple geometry programs.

The computer age has ushered in an era of unprecedented creativity and innovative potential among people of all ages - but especially among young people who have grown up immersed in the world of computers. Science for kids needs no longer involve simply replicating what others have already done. You - yes, you - can perform amazing computer science experiments that push the boundaries of what is known and what people can accomplish.

The first computer programming science fair projects that you can experiment with focus on math formulas. There are several different programming options that you can work with to develop these formula programs including JAVA script and DOS. Some of the formula programs that you can try to develop include addition programs for single digit numbers, addition programs for multiple digit number and addition programs for 100 different numbers.

Another group of computer science projects that you can work with are web animation projects. These projects can be as simple or complicated as you want. If you are a novice to web animations then there are experiments that you can conduct that create web animations with little more than Notebook and a web browser. If you are ready for a more challenging science fair project, on the other hand, then you have the option of working with more advanced computer programs like Dreamscape.

Science experiments that work with simple programs are your third option. Simple computer programs are an appropriate computer science fair project for elementary, middle school and high school students. Some of your project options include: developing a sorting program for letters, developing a sorting program for numbers, developing a program that measures how much space a text clip will take up and developing a program that will count how many words are in a passage.

Geometry programs are your final option. These program projects are better suited for high school students, however, gifted middle schoolers can also handle these projects. There are a lot of geometry projects that you can develop. For example, you can develop a computer program that will plot tangent lines on a circle after you enter coordinates. You can also develop geometry computer programs that inscribe one shape inside of another. Use your imagination.

Computer programming science fair projects come in all shapes and sizes. This year, when developing your science fair entry, think about using computer science fair experiments.

The key to developing winning science fair projects is to think outside of the box and to take current programs one step further.
