The purpose of this kit is to help children to become aware of energy conservation. Included in the Energy Lab 8900 is a comprehensive book dealing with renewable sources of energy such as wind, tidal, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, and biomass. These are all friendly alternative sources of energy that replace non-renewable energy such as coal, oil and natural gas.

- The Energy Lab console includes:
chemical cell
solar cell
wind turbine
hand operated generator.
All of these sources operate LEDs, motor, buzzer and battery charger.
Requires 1 'AA' battery (not included).
- The voltage is measured by a sensitive digital voltmeter.
- The book includes methods of how energy can be saved in the household and explains the ways one can cut the cost of energy at home.
