Electronics science fair projects charge up your chances of taking home a blue ribbon...
This is just one of the many questions that you can ask while developing your electronics science fair projects. Questions are the foundation of all winning science fair projects. However, they are not the only step that needs to be taken. After you have a question to work with, like "why does a magnet make a TV change color?", your next step is to conduct background research on this topic. Your background research will need to include how televisions work and how magnets work. You may be surprised to find out the reason why televisions are sensitive to magnets. After you conduction your background research on your topic you will need to take steps to answer your question, "Why does a magnet make a TV change color". If you don't know how to set up your own magnets and magnetism science fair projects then you can start by playing around with science fair kits and pre-existing science experiments. These items can be found online or at local science stores. Your next step is to design your own experiment. An easy way to test why magnets affect your television is to first see how it affects your television. For example, you can put a small magnet up against the glass of your televisions screen to see what happens. Document your findings and make notes about what colors seem to be attracted to the magnet the most, the spectrum or color pattern that you create with your magnet and what colors are attracted to the N pole compared to the S pole. You can then use this data to create your hypothesis and to focus your project's experiment on. Collecting data for your project is something that is going to take time and organizational skills. To make this process more productive you will first want to set up a data collection form. This form will include spaces for the information that you need to collect for each observation. For example, you will want to identify the type of magnet you used, the type of television set used, what you did, how long the TV was exposed to the magnet and your observations about what happened. These forms will ensure your notes are consistent for each observation that you make, which will in turn help you to create a winning science fair project report.
