Complete super science fair projects in one class period...
Learning is a cumulative process. This means that your knowledge develops and evolves as you have new experiences and as you are introduced to new ideas and concepts. If you want to infuse your knowledge of science with advanced science concepts in a short period of time then you will benefit from completing short and easy science projects. Short and easy science projects can generally be completed in less than two hours. There are many super science fair projects that you can complete, in fact, in less than an hour. However, to get the most out of your project you first need to select a project idea that explores a field of science of a science concept that interests you. For example, if you are interested in ecology you can look at earth science fair projects that deal with renewable energy sources, alternative fuels or the greenhouse effect. Below is one example of a project that will quickly update your understanding of global warming. It involves using the Internet as your data source. This project is a great platform to jump off of into a more complex and in depth environmental experiments science projects. Objective(s) Students identify, analyze, and use patterns such as cycles and trends to understand past and present events and predict possible future events. Students identify and analyze systems and the ways their components work together or affect each other. Overview This lesson is a good one for students to have a better understanding for their environment. It is important for students to have an understanding for the things around them. El Nino effects us every 3-5 years and that will definitely be in the students life time. It is important for students to know about the weather patterns and how they are effected by the El Nino effect. Through doing this lesson the students will have a better understanding of why every so often it is warmer in December through January than it is compared to other winter months. This lesson will allow the students to get familiar with the El Nino effect and learn more about it. Procedure 1. Have students log on to one or more websites on the El Nino effect. 2. Have students find some interesting things that they want to bring to the classes attention on the El Nino effect. 3. Discuss with the children why the El Nino effects occurs and ask them if they think there is anything that they can do to stop it from happening. 4. Have the students write a story about how they think they could stop the El Nino effect. If the information you uncover during this project interests you then you can use it as the first step of your own unique science fair project. To do this you will want to use this information as the background data for your project. You can then focus the information you collected to a narrow topic for your project's hypothesis. After you do this you are on your way to a winning project!
