These Heart Monitor Biology Science Fair Projects are unique to this site. I made them up and no one else has them,
so you can now do a great, new, exciting biology science fair project.
You will uncover fascinating information with the
Electrocardiogram Heart Monitor Kit
Enjoy learning about the inner workings of the heart. At the same time covering the stage by stage electronics circuit theory used in the kit.
The three probe wire pick-ups allow for easy application and experimentation, without an annoying, cumbersome harness. And the literature included with the ECG1 covers everything, from a circuit description of the kit itself to a circuit description of the heart!
1) Did you know Dr. Thernon Randolph discovered that when a person was allergic to a particular food or chemical that
their pulse significantly increased or decreased?
Hmmmmm... great heart monitor biology science fair projects can be created by testing
people's heart rate using an electrocardiogram and seeing the difference in their cardiogram when they injest
different foods!
Hypothosis : Does a
person's caridogram change when they eat a candy bar opposed to when
they eat an apple?
One day have all your friends come over before breakfast (with nothing on their stomachs).
Take their cardigram so you have a base-line of comparison. Then have each person eat an
apple. Wait 20 minutes for the apple to digest and get in their blood stream. Then take their
cardiogram.
The next day have the same friends come over again (before breakfast with nothing on
their stomachs), take their cardiogram, eat a candy bar and wait 20 mintues to take their cadiogram again.
Make sure that everyone eats the
same kind and size apple (i.e. macintosh apple), and the same size and
kind candy bar (i.e. snickers). Perhaps it would be a very good idea to
weigh the apple before it was eaten.
You can also ask your teacher if you can do this experiment in the classroom right before lunch, asking your friends to not
eat anything inbetween breakfast and lunch.
Or you can do a comparison between an apple that is sprayed with chemicals (most are unless say organic), and an apple that is organic (perferrable certified organic).
2) Reflexology heart monitor biology science fair project. Do you know a reflexologist? Or look in your yellow pages for one.
Maybe they would be willing to
help you science project.
Hypothesis: Does reflexology on ____ points of the feet change results of an electrocardiogram?
(You will need to
define this question... it's just to give you an idea).
Also, look at the Foot Model on the Life Science Experiments page. You may want to use it as a
visual aid for your biology science fair projects experiment.
