Cell phone science fair projects are an excellent option if you are a cell phone aficionado. There are a lot of different angles that your cell phone projects can take. For example you can select an electronics angle, a medical angle, a math angle or even a behavioral science angle. Whatever angle you select, make sure you develop your hypothesis properly and that you research your topic thoroughly.

The first angle that your cell phone science fair projects can take is an electronics angle. In this angle you will want to look at specific electronic components and capabilities of various cells phones. For example, electronics engineering based science fair projects can compare the reception power offered by various cell phone service providers, or it can look at line of sight problems that some cell phones have. You can also experiment with how free cell phone ringtones are loaded onto your cell phone.

Another angle that your cell phone science fair projects can have is a medical angle. To develop a medicine related project you will first want to research what concerns have already been raised about cell phone use such as cancer and radiation concerns. Some of the hypotheses that are commonly used when exploring this angle include:

  • Does cell phone radiation increase the risk of developing acoustic neuroma?
  • Does radiation from cell phones affect our health?
  • Determine if dangers of using a cell phone in a public place are similar to second-hand smoke.
  • Cellular phone radiation: does it cause genetic damage (cancer)?
  • The third angle that your super science fair projects can take is having a behavioral psychology angle. This angle will look at how using cell phones impacts people's behavior. For example, you can look at how using a cell phone impacts a person's driving ability, their performance in school or their performance at work.

Math is another angle that can be applied to cell phone science fair projects. Cell phone tower arrangements, algorithms and programming formulas can all be examined in this type of a project. If you are a math wiz, then you may want to come up with new formulas, algorithms and configurations to improve reception or to overcome a current reception problem that cell phone services offer or have.

Cell phones make a great subject for a science fair project because just about everyone has one or knows someone who has one. When developing your projects make sure you take into consideration the latest headlines related to cell phones and cell phone uses. Also keep in mind that cell phone companies are going to be a great resource for your project, especially during the research phase of your project's development.

Let's face it, cell phones are here to stay. The question is whether or not they are causing health issues and upsetting the body's natural energy frequency. Medicine-health science fair projects can address this issue.
