Medicine-health science fair projects explore the inner workings of the human mind...
Optical illusions science fair projects are a lot of fun, especially if you enjoy art, math or magic. There are a lot of different ways to approach this type of medicine-health science fair experiments. You can use medical experiments, you can use math experiments or you can use biology experiments.
The first step in developing optical illusions science fair projects is to figure out what angle you want to use. Your first option is to take a medical approach. Medical science fair experiments will utilize imaging technology to explore the physiology and biochemistry of the mind. If you take this approach you will most likely need to rely on pre-existing data and imaging graphics, or you will need to work with a neurologist who has access to imaging equipment. The second angle that you can take with why does our mind see illusions science fair projects is a math angle. In this type of project you will by creating optical illusions using math formulas. This is a great angle if you excel in math or if you enjoy working with computers. When designing your project you can look at how simple formulas can creats tessellations or how altering formulas can create dramatically different patterns and optical illusions. You can also use a math angle to measure the angles or visual ranges that are impacted or that impact our susceptibility to optical illusions. The third angle that you can take with you optical illusion science fair projects is a behavioral angle. This angle would take more of a psychological interest in the phenomenon of optical illusions. For example, you may experiment to see what types of optical illusions people are more interested in, how people interpret optical illusions or who is most susceptible to optical illusions. You will probably need to do some background research to understand the psychology behind optical illusions, but it can be a very eye opening experiment category to work with. If you can't figure out which angle to take then consider using science fair kits to explore the subject of optical illusions. These kits contain all of the science fair supplies that you will need for your experiments. Experimenting with kits is a great first step for any science fair project.
