  1. Only one entry per person. Use the official entry form (copies of the form are acceptable) to create original science fair project ideas. Please type or print your science fair ideas so we can read them.

  2. There will be 4 winners - each person will win one iPod.
There will be one winner in each of the following grade levels:
    K - 3rd grade.
    4th - 8th grade
    high school
college students / teachers / parents

  3. The winners will be the people who come up with the most creative, fun, outstanding or outrageous list of science fair project ideas.

Yes, all you have to do is make a list. There are 2-parts that are required and one part that is optional. Each person can list up to 20 science fair project ideas.

    A. List the question
    B. List the corresponding hypothesis.
    C. Optional: List the materials that would be needed to perform the experiment.
(not necessary to list materials but if you know what they would be, that would be great)

    Example:

Question: Does a person's heart rate increase as measured by an electro-cardiogram when s/he eats a Hershey's Milk Chocolate candy bar opposed to when they eat an organic apple?

Hypothesis: I believe that a person's cardiogram will show that when s/he eats one Milk Chocolate Hershey bar the heart rate will increase 10% compared to when they eat one organic apple.

      Materials: cardiogram machine
      20 people
20 Milk chocolate Hershey candy bars
      20 organic apples

  4. All your fun science fair projects and official entry forms must be received by August 20, 2007 at 12 midnight. They must be in Microsoft Word or Mac equivalent. jpg or PDF files will not be accepted. All participants must mail in an entry form via snail mail (regular mail -must have the hard copy, not a scanned copy sent via email)

  5. Nothing can be copied off the internet. All ideas that are listed will be checked online. If an idea is copied it will be eliminated from your list. www.copyscape.com is where all entries will be checked.
If you find an idea that is interesting, then expand on it, add to it, make it your own and create an original science fair project. That is what scientists do. You can do this. Most importantly... have fun!!!
