Air dynamics science fair projects can be simple or complex, they can be based on air craft designs or space craft designs, or they can even look at natural air dynamic designs. If you are interested in physics science experiments that explore aerodynamics, then this article is for. In the next few paragraphs you will learn about five different experiments you can complete.

Paper airplane designs can be modified to increase the distance that they are able to fly. This is perhaps the most basic air dynamics science fair projects available. To complete this experiment all you have to do is first learn a little bit about aerodynamics of air plane designs and then apply what you learned to your own designs. You will then test your paper airplane designs to see if your modifications can make your planes go further.

Tin foil airplanes will fly straighter and farther than paper airplanes. To test this hypothesis you will need to develop air dynamics science fair projects that utilize two separate experiments. The first experiment will test the first part of the hypothesis that tin foil airplanes will fly straighter than paper airplanes. The second experiment will test the second part of the hypothesis that tin foil airplanes will fly farther than paper airplanes. Chart your data on a graph and use statistical analysis tools to determine if your entire hypothesis is correct, if part of the hypothesis is correct or if the entire hypothesis is incorrect.

Dandelions utilize air dynamics to dispurse their seeds. To test this hypothesis you will need to design physics science fair projects that examine the design of the dandelion seed. Look at its shape and how the wind interacts with the design. Can you can advance this project by applying the aerodynamics of a dandelion seed to a paper airplane design.

Bird wings efficiently utilize aerodynamics to help the bird achieve flight. To test this experiment you will need to look at how much energy is required to keep a bird in flight. You can advance this project by looking at the efficiency of different birds' wings and the amount of energy used by each to sustain flight.

Bumblebees technically shouldn't be able to fly. How do they defy the odds? This is a very interesting project idea. You will need to determine why a bee can fly and how they utilize special wing patterns to achieve flight. You can advance this project by applying what you learned about bee flight to create a flying craft. Your flying craft may only be theoretical, but if at all possible, build a prototype and test its flight capabilities.
