Anti gravity science projects can be a great way to explore both science concepts and science fiction concepts. Levitation, harmonic resonance and gravitrons are three anti gravity concepts that can be used when you design your science fair projects. To win a science fair with an anti gravity science project, you need to be able to think outside the box.

The first type of anti gravity science projects that you can work with are hover crafts. Hover craft experiments can take on several angles. First of all you can build a small hover craft that is capable of lifting a can of soda pop off of a table and transport to the other end of a table. If you are interested in a more advanced project then you can experiment with the design of the power source or the hover craft's design to create larger crafts that can raise up higher than smaller models.

Gravitrons are another great option for anti gravity projects. Gravitrons are different from hover crafts in that they aren't tethered to a control device, nor do they use an external energy source. Instead they utilize magnetic force, primarily the magnetic repulsion force, to levitate an object creating an anti gravity situation. This is a great project topic if you are interested in working with magnets.

One of the most controversial anti gravity concepts that you can work with when developing science projects gravity with balls is harmonic resonance. The application of the anti gravity characteristics of harmonic resonance was recently featured on the History Channel's program "UFO Hunters." In this program a scientist demonstrated how harmonic resonance could be used to levitate an object, like a ball, into the air using sound waves. This is a cutting edge concept that will definitely impress science fair judges.

Anti gravity projects are interesting and could potentially lead to innovative discoveries. When you are designing your anti gravity project you will want to make sure you research the concept that you will be working on and try out some of the pre-existing experiments. This will provide you with a basis for your experiment's design and help you to avoid duplicating experiments.

Anti gravity science projects have a lot of potential to win local, state and national level science fair. Science fair science kits are one resource that you can use to explore your concept before you design a unique experiment.
