Science fair projects on behavior and age will explore the old adage of "act your age!" These psychology experiments will take a look at how people of different ages respond to different situations. These experiments work well for 1 hour free easy science fair projects, as well as for advanced science fair projects. Feel free to use these project ideas to develop your own projects around.

Age impacts how receptive a person will be to new technology. This is a very interesting hypothesis that science fair projects on behavior and age can test. The purpose of this experiment is to determine if kids are more receptive, or more willing to accept, new technology than adults are. The independent variable in this experiment will be the age of the test subject and the dependent variable will be the test subject's response to the new technology.

Age impacts a person's reaction to new people being introduced to their environment. This hypothesis can be tested with science fair projects on behavior and age. For this hypothesis you will want to see how people of different ages respond to new people. You will then compare the results to see if there is a definitive trend. For example, adults may be more willing to introduce themselves to a new person added to their environment than kids are.

Age impacts a person's reaction to new objects. This hypothesis is best tested with biology science fair projects. For these experiments you will want to examine how likely a person is to pick up the new object, use the new object or reject the new object. Then try to see if age can be used as a predictor for how a person reacts to a new object.

Age impacts a person's reaction to perceived threats. This is an interesting hypothesis that will require a more advanced experiment. To test this hypothesis you will first need to determine if there is a common threat that you can use for all age groups, that is safe enough to expose the person too. Then you will need to set up a controlled test environment where you expose the person to the threat and record their reactions. Next you will rate how severe their reaction is and if it was a positive response or a negative response. When you analyze your data you will want to look for correlations between age and reactions.

To create an advanced science fair project using one of the above projects all you have to do is take it to the next level. For example, you can advance the first experiment by expanding the number of people tested or by completing the experiment using different types of technology. For example, you may want to see if the type of technology impacts the likelihood that a person will accept the new technology and use it. Small steps like these will allow you to turn sample science fair projects into advanced, unique science fair projects.
