Science fair projects on teachers can provide you with an interesting look at the people who rule your world, teachers. Teachers are a unique population of people that have common characteristics, as well as differences. The following science projects and experiments will help you to learn more about teachers and how they tick.

The first hypothesis that you can test with science fair projects on teachers is that language teachers make more eye contact with their students than math teachers do. To complete this experiment you will need to compare what percentage of a class your teacher makes eye contact with their students and what percentage of the time they are looking away from their students. What do your findings tell you about the differences in teaching methodologies used for communication classes and math classes.

The second hypothesis that you can test with science fair projects on teachers is that foreign language teachers laugh more during class than English language teachers do. This is a fun hypothesis to work with. To gather the most data possible for your experiment you will want to ask if you can sit in of several foreign language classes and several different English classes. You will also want to observe a variety of different teachers in each subject. What did you learn? What do your findings suggest?

Another hypothesis that you can test with 24-hour science fair projects is that teachers stand more than 75 percent of the time when teaching. To test this hypothesis you will need to observe your teachers during class. Time how long they spend on their feet and divide this number into the length of your class period. For example, if your class period is 60 minutes long and you time your teacher standing 45 minutes during the class period then they stand 75 percent of the time. How can this information be use?

It has been theorized that a person's handwriting can tell you a lot about their personality. Test this theory out on your teachers. Gather samples of their handwriting both from the chalk board or dry erase board and on paper and analyze it. Does their handwriting match what you think their personality is like? If it doesn't have their peers give their opinions. Explain differences between your conclusions and theirs?

Everyone makes mistakes. Now is your turn to find them. Observe your teachers and note how many mistakes they make during the class period. Categorize the mistakes and comparing them to number of years the teacher has been teaching. Is there a correlation between the average number of mistakes made in a class period and the teacher's age? What other correlations can you draw? If you are interested in psychology then consider setting up an experiment that looks at how teachers correct or respond to the mistakes that they make. Correlate these responses to their personality type.
