A Fun Project For Science Fair Day ! An Easy Way To Earn An A!
How many kilowatt-hours of electricity per student does it take to operate your middle grade or high school: on a daily basis? Providing estimates for the answers of such important questions is the purpose of Math and science fair projects!
Math as a computational tool has a tremendous utility in and outside of school! And if you didn't know it already, studying science and math is really cool. By using math to analyze the research data from environmental experiments, scientists will be able to find ways to conserve electricity and help cool off the earth from the effects of global warming! The sooner, that kids realize that studying and doing their math homework can be fun, the better. There are many exciting ideas for 3rd grade math and science fair projects. One of them is to calculate the number of seconds in a week, a month and then for a whole year! And to explain the kind of measurement or experiment that scientists must conduct in order to determine when it is necessary to add or subtract a leap second! Some other fascinating ideas for middle school or 3rd grade math and science projects are to calculate the average speed of each of the planets around the sun! People reading the results of your projects will be amazed to learn that the earth is actually moving at a speed of several thousands of miles per hour! You may now be in elementary or middle school and you want to be a major league pitcher some day! You may have to wait awhile before you can throw a blazing fastball! But what you can do now is ask your math teacher about Math and science fair projects! Why not choose computing the speed of a 95 mile per hour fastball in feet per second and then in meters per second (for the Metric System)? The square of a number is that number multiplied by itself. The squares of the first few positive integers are 1, 4, 9, 16, 25,...etc. Squares are very important in science and in every day life! You may have heard about square miles or square pieces of tiles. So as one of your 3rd grade math and science fair projects or as part of the Math and science fair projects for any grade of middle school, why don't you compute the squares for the positive integers up to 2000? These middle school science projects will help you to learn about large numbers and they will also help your math score (or grade) to be a larger number! Some more excellent ideas for Math and science fair projects, involving astronomy, are to calculate the time needed and the estimated cost for a round trip to Mars and to each of the other planets. You may have a chance to make one of the trips yourself! So choose your middle school or 3rd grade math and science fair projects now!
