One of the drawbacks of going to school is that you are stuck inside a building studying materials that are generally very boring. Fortunately there is something that you can do to liven up your education. You can take your learning outside by completing tennis science fair projects.

Tennis science fair projects can take on many different science concepts. For example, you can study the physics of tennis, the medical aspects of tennis or the engineering elements of the sport of tennis. The key to developing an athletic science fair project that you enjoy is to apply a science topic that interests you to the sport.

One science focus that is easy to apply to tennis science fair projects is physics. Physics science fair projects can examine many elements of the sport of tennis including the utilization of force in the game. For example, you can examine how force is generated and what impacts the amount of force that is applied to the ball.

The shape of the tennis racket can also be examined when developing tennis science fair projects. For example, you can determine if the obliqueness of the oval impacts the effectiveness of the racket, or you can determine if it impacts how easy it is to use the racket. You can also try to find a relationship between the shape and size of a tennis racket and the tennis player.

Another variable that you can experiment with is the physics of ball design. The bounciness of the ball, the exterior texture of the ball and the material used to construct the ball can all be evaluated to determine how they impact the physics of the game. You can even determine if there is a better ball design then the typical tennis ball design that we all know.

While the physics that relate to tennis equipment is interesting it is not the only physics on the court. You can also examine the physics of the tennis player. Body position, body shape, potential energy and kinetic energy are all elements that related to tennis players, and each of these elements can be manipulated.
