When California 7th graders were asked to study images tken by a NASA spacecraft that is orbiting the red planet, little did they know they would discovera mysterious cave on Mars!
The images looks like what called a Martian skylight which a hole in the roof of a cave on Mars
The 16 courgeous students were participating in the Mars Student Imaging Program at the Mars Space Flight Facility at Arizona State University. This program gives students the opportunity to writre a research question and then engage a Mars-orbiting camera to take an image to answer their question
The newfound hole on Mars resembled features seen on other parts of Mars in a 2007 study by Glen Cushing, a U.S. Geological Survey scientist. Read the rest of the article at Yahoo News….
