THERMODYNAMIC HAND BOILER * FREE CLASSROOM SCIENCE EXPERIMENT
Case of 24 Handboilers
A thermodynamic hand boiler is a uniquely looped and twisted glass vessel that is filled with colored ethyl alcohol and appears to "boil" when held in the the human hand. Your young scientist will be fascinated when they hold the large bulb end in the palm of their hand and within minutes their body heat will cause the liquid to rise.
Once out of their hands, within a few minutes when the liquid cools down, the liquid will return to the large bulb.
This is an excellent demonstration of the principles of air pressure, thermodynamics, and energy transfer. Or use it as a novelty item.
It comes in 4 different colors: red, blue, green, and purple. We will choose an assortment for you.
Makes for fun science fair awards, gifts, birthday party favors or door prizes.

Are Some Students More "Hot" Than Others?
Have each student wrap their hand around the bottom blub of the hand boiler. With a stop watch, time each student to see how long it takes until the liquid gets to the top of the boiler and bubbles. Make sure to explain it is important to not squeeze the bulb too hard.
